“Probably the last beautiful day of the season...” says another person on the street. Weather. Predictions, we make our own muddied predictions every morning as we pull back the curtains in our bedrooms and ponder over the light quality spreading out into the tiny crannies of our space. “Is it really the last beautiful day of the season?”

It’s freakishly quiet today in the office. I am actually uncomfortable not having any work to do. I was staring at my phone watching the lights green (in-use) and red (not available). I stared so long that my eyes teared up.

Back home we don't have paved roads. We have dirt roads. Once you turn off the highway you must drive along a dirt road for half a mile or so to get to our homes. From 8AM to 8:30AM the #72 bus (North Avenue) is the screaming, crying, tantrum ride from hell.
