Book, of the oft-mentioned Firefly, would certainly make an addendum to include those who refuse to help kittens in distress as also having a spot reserved in the "special hell".
you, sir, are a hero.adoorAugust 23 2005, 10:27:11 UTC
mr. the chairman escaped for a while the other day, which sent me in to fits (we're right on the freeway, he was untagged, and i love him). fuck anyone who can't imagine themselves in that place, or indeed in the place of a lost or confused animal. also, fuck anyone who lacks concern and compassion for other creatures, or other people. anyway, i'm glad there are people like you (for many reasons, really). and thank you for, you know, "bothering" and getting the kitten safely home.
my now fat-n-sassy sometime-escape-artist once-starving rescue-kitten thanks you for paying it forward. you, you are good people. i don't suppose it's worth the wish to wish everybody were, because they're not gonna be; what's nice is how often the powers that be move the good people into the path of the good that needs doing. *hug*

Glad he was well-behaved. Walking a half-mile with a cat in one's arms can be potentially painful.

You would have been amazed at some of the excuses I got from people trying to avoid actually DOING something to help.
Well, maybe not.
I see too many 'lost cat' posters around here.
