Sup, LJ?
So much to fangirl about these days!
I can't wait for X-Men. I can barely wrap my brain around the reality of both Magnetos and Professor Xs. Love it.

Also, I'm really excited about Gayle Forman's If I Stay being made into a movie. (I'm a little less than enthused that the star made some "it's not YA" statement, but I guess she's

I forgot to add that my daughter has read TFIOS twice now, just finished An Abundance of Katherines and is trying out Paper Towns (though I don't think she's liking it as much as the others). She's also made her way through a lot of the vlogbrothers videos and has stolen both my Nerdfighters bracelet and my TFIOS pen! I'm over the moon happy to see her into this, so I'm letting her keep it all.
For now.

Keeping positive thoughts that The Move will go well and the job search gets better. (Not that I have anything against Nebraska, but I totally understand your landlocked fears, being born and raised in SoCal, I can't even imagine.)

Nebraska has a lot in in that I feel will challenge me. The landlocked thing is like the physical manifestation of the less tangible things, if that makes sense. It's so non-diverse. The population is like 81.5% white (non-HIspanic), 9.5% Hispanic/Latino, and the other 8% is mixed between Asian/Pacific Islander, Native American, and black. It will literally be the whitest place I've ever lived, ever, not just compared to the last few years. And, I mean, I'm so white I glow in the dark, but still. It just seems really...creepy? Off putting? Dull?
On the other hand, there are some things about it which would probably be a good change for us, like clean air. Grass. Low teacher/student ratios in the schools.
I'm trying to be open minded.
Meanwhile, my husband thinks it's hilarious that I moved to Vietnam, Indonesia, and China without a worry, but I'm having panic attacks about moving to the midwest. He probably has a point.

I think it would be nice to live somewhere with lots of open land and wildlife. I think the kids would like it. But then I saw a raccoon in the yard the other night and a skunk sprayed on a different night. Could not handle it.
