Ice cream crisis... haha

"You will notice that our pints will be smaller by a couple of spoonfuls. They are changing from 16 fl. oz. to 14 fl. oz., and our 32 fl. oz. cartons will change to 28 fl. oz. We wanted you to hear from us first."

- Haagen-Dazs

[can they just redefine what a pint is, like that?]

I still laugh over the things I won't buy because of price, and the crap I buy without thinking.

$4.50 for a beer if I go see a band? Sure.

$5 for their CD, even if I really liked them? Hell no.

It's a "super-premium" pint.

The opposite of a "royal" pint.

I have been very irritated at the shrinking of stuff. Particularly ice cream. I understand their costs are going up and they fear raising the price will scare off consumers so they shrink the product. But I think they underestimate the consumers. I'd rather pay more than have less. It keeps throwing off how many proper bowls of ice cream you can get out of a package! :)
