That sounds expensive. I flew at the height of the tourist season for CAD$700. You should be able to get a cheaper flight in November. Try booking with AirTransat.
And for frelling out loud, stay for a longer period.
It sounds like a good plan! Not too expensive either, but does that also include booking a hotel and paying for food and all that? Plus whatever you buy if you go shopping for CDs or something... My guess is that you could easily be spending in the $1000 range all together.
Take an extra day there too, or a few if you can afford it and can get more time off.
I'd do it! My trip cost a total of $1500 i think, and that was for a week, with hotel and breakfast. $700 is a very good price, and I am guessing that includes hotel? Hotels are very expensive in London.
Just remember, things are very expensive in the UK, especially in London. Double the pounds you see. So if something is £4 that means it is $8.
Buy a 3 day Underground pass for zones 1-2. It should cost £15. And if you want to get around London, that little pass is invaluable to getting around affordably. If you paid each time you'd be spending so much more money.
try their local food too, it's good! Very cosmopolitain. And when you go into a pub, look for fish & chips. Ask the hotel desk who has the best fish & chips in town. There are more fish & chip places than McDonalds in London. Get a pint of bitter, the darker the better IMO.
If you decide to go, we'll chat or email me and I can tell you more. :-D I love London.
