Honestly I was dubious about this game initially.. and I know it's gone through some criticism. But after seeing the shape it's in now (and at Comic con) I really think it's looking great! Good job man!
Also: I finally picked up a copy of that Udon SF Tribute book. I should get your sig on there sometime. :)
BTW- Omar Dogan sounds familiar somehow I thought he was on OCAD or something but I asked him at Comic Con, and he denied it. Weird.
Yeah, it's really easy to sit on the outside and speculate as to how the remake should be handled. In all honesty, there was a ton of spec related issues that we had to conform to since our work was basically supposed to be a graphics swap. It definitely was an interesting challenge every step of the way and there was a lot of things I am proud of that we solved along the way-- especially with characters that were not 1:1 in terms of the remake(i.e Sagat, Dhalsim, Bison, etc). In any case, I'm glad you like what you see. :)
Definitely, will sign for ya anytime. I will be at the Miami book fair this weekend to help promote more SF goodness though I doubt you'll be headed out that way. Then again you still got my number right? haha
Not sure if Omar Dogan was on OCAD. I used to confuse him with this other guy called Okumarts for some weird reason. Used to participate in TOFU. He's one of the Canadians and has been with Udon since the early days.
Oh yeah I noticed (at least with Sagat)! Sagat isn't a lanky dude like he was in the original SFII and looks more like his alpha counterpart.. did you guys run into collision issues with the re-size?
I'll be picking up the HD Remix since my friends want more SF II throwdown.
Thanks man! And kudos on Left 4 Dead! I've been seeing the billboards everywhere up north here and have seen a lot of good feedback online as well. I'm sorry to hear you got laid off, but with talent like yours, I'm sure it'll be no time before you get a bigger and better gig. :)
Congrats on pulling through those last couple of months! Hope you get to enjoy plenty of oogling for the hard (and fantastic) work! I don't have a gaming console, else I'd download just to see your stuff, but I'll definitely tell my buddies. I still have an original Vo sketch from way long ago to show off when your name becomes a staple in the industry! ;D (I think it was BAAU like 8 years ago? holycrap I was still in high school)
8 years ago!? Wow... omg that's crazy... Hard to believe I've been in the industry for a DECADE-- O_O;;;; You were in HS back then? Sheesh-- time flies by doesn't it?
