[summer is in full swing! which means the temperature has officially climbed into ice-cream-melting, fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk, OH GOD WHY IS IT SO HOT range. cicadas can be heard shrilling loudly all over the DR, and heat shimmer is radiating from nearly every flat surface.
fortunately, the pool and the lake (as well as the newly acquired shoreline) all remain cool and inviting, as are the cafes and ice cream parlors scattered throughout the city. a trip to the mall's ice skating rink wouldn't be a bad idea, either.
...or you could wear long sleeves and all but pass out on a park bench, like this idiot. that works too!]
