So it was 104° here in the Denver area today. I don't think I can remember it ever being this hot anywhere I've lived in Colorado. Apparently throughout recorded Denver weather history, it's hit 105° twice, 104° 3 times, and 103° 3 times. I can only remember it hitting 102° or 103°. Phoenix boasted a robust low of 95 degrees this morning and a meager high of 113 this afternoon. They have an EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING.

We're actually still getting down into the 60's at night....which is a bit unusual, I guess, with the heat. There was an EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING between 1pm and 9pm today (okay, yesterday, since this comment was at 12:03 in the ONE TRUE TIMEZONE)

I would have camped out in my basement here, underneath the AC ducts, but alas, I had SERIOUS BUSINESS and was in the office today, which was somewhat overwarm.

The continual leaps of illogic that the human race is capable of continually amaze/amuse me. Is The Gay contagious from human to cat? To pig? Or only by California wildfires and the associated smoke? Am I in 'danger' because I visited San Francisco in the last year?

I don't think the cat was injured in the whole fracas....though I do hope it has a good home now.

Obama is an interesting candidate, but I do think the media is a bit over-enamored with him. Poor Johnny probably feels left out.
