We're just having a little party.

I suppose we should thank the state of California for a unique experience we're having here in Front Range Colorado. Apparently because California is one big conflagration, we're able to forget we have mountains, unless we're within a couple miles of them. I'm sure in a few days when this blows over most denizens of this realm will exclaim with ( Read more... )

Low visibility and oddly colored sunlight are definitely interesting effects due to what used to be vegetation in your state now being part of the atmosphere in ours.

I've never really driven in Texas, but I would think that 70 that seems to comprise most of the state is low for some places there, too.

We were up in Estes for dinner tonight with the Hoopers. We couldn't even see the peaks from there.

And there's Oregon with our frickin' 65mph highway speed limits. Ridiculous.

Yeah, I know, though I haven't driven there as recently. The eastern part of your state certainly qualifies for the 75+ treatment.

The speed limit in Texas should be 100 so you could speed through it as fast as possible to the next state.

We drove through MO and KY both with 70 mph limits, too.

No, in Texas it should be INFINITY!

My trip across MO was 65 mph for a lot of it, but I was on US 60 in the southern part of the state. That was OK for there. Mostly 4 lanes except for about 30 miles in the middle.

KY I took a few detours off the Interstate, and again, for that state 70 wasn't too bad.
