oh my god I am so happy!

ummm I have a huge problem with my pc, in that it won't start. I press the button continuously on and off and the monitor JUST DOESN'T WANT TO BE MY FRIEND. I have waited, on occasion, a whole night until it miraculously starts up. The actual computer seems to be fine but duh the monitor.
