I didn't find it a bad flick, but I think that's the problem it was little else but a flick. I have an odd dual opinion of it though. On one hand I'm glad he made it, as a way to close that chapter of his career. A much more proper bookend than Jay and bob was (besides O'hallaran and Anderson were already pushing the point where reprisals of the roles would become unbelieveable). On the other hand, you make a point with the safety zone. Chasing Amy was fantastic, and very very different from what clerks was. When he went to mallrats, dogma, and Jay & bob he found the niche. the thing that'll make him money and popularity. He makes jersey girl, something closer to "Amy" he gets a scare and goes right back to what made him a name.

Maybe it's cause he knows if he doesn't make the money he won't get the caking anymore. Really I think it's the fear of failure. The artist has left the building.

I will say however that anyone that precieves this as a validation of their path, woul dprobably just walk it anyway dispite the "ok".
