Dear Mr Rudd

I am very disappointed to read that the Government 2.0 Taskforce is running a design competition rather than paying a graphic designer a fair price in acknowledgement of their skills and experience.

I find it difficult to imagine any other instance in which you would run a competition asking the general public to create a policy

I think most people who do this kind of word already take a lot of pride in their work and already give away enough of their time to Web 2.0. So taskforce's pitch really isn't a persuasive argument to enter the comp!
