I haven't been to the dentist since before I left Carleton. I should be ashamed, but I'm so terrified of what the dentist will say to me when I tell him that that I consider myself perfectly justified in staying away. Fortunately my teeth are in pretty good shape.

Yeah, some people (like you, evidently) have good teeth and it's not a big deal. I wouldn't worry about the dentist yelling when you go back, though (or do you have one of those mean dentists?). I, on the other hand, have not-so-good teeth, so going every six months wards off what would potentially be horrible problems...
