Poor kitty indeed!jmartin2June 2 2004, 17:54:40 UTC
*chuckles* Everyone should read the lovely book you brought for Katherine, and the refrain certainly applies in Kitty's situation here. I'm glad everything worked out ok. Thanks for all the TLC you gave us while you were here, and especially for your *real* gift to KGM. We could never have found a more upstanding or devout couple to be her Godparents, and we know that her life will be greatly enriched by your presence throughout it. I feel like I should have said this in person, or hand-written it in a private card, but it comes out as a comment in your blog, so there you have it.
I'm touched and honored to read your kind words, regardless of where they appear--and never forget that your continued friendship and hospitality also speak volumes about the confidence that you've placed in us. I know that our lives will also be enhanced by this role...and as for enriching KGM's life, we will (of course) do our best...
BTW, Kitty seems to be mostly back to normal. Although I think she has a memory of the smoke detector incident--yesterday, when I went on the stepladder to replace a can light, she freaked out a little (I think she realized that both the light and the nefarious smoke detector reside together in the ceiling...).
