I think my total was something like 45. Its in my journal back a bit. But then I spent summers with grandmother, the school teacher and that wonderful collection of the Great Books of the World, Dickens and Jane Austen, so go figure.

there were certainly books on that list I had never even heard of.

I guess their fame didn't stretch across the Atlantic let alone past the bible belt between coasts.
