Yes, I'm alive - yes, I've pulled my usual act of not posting on my own journal for an age. Thought a few of my f-list might appreciate an exciting bullet-point list of what's been going on in my life lately

6:45?? What in heck were you doing working at THAT time? Ouch.
Thanks for the good wishes! And here's hoping we can both get ourselves organised Xmas wise - I'm thinking of digging into my present pile and starting to wrap and label things.
LOL ! I work from home, so I only had to crawl out of the bed and over to the laptop ! (Although I get up at 4.30 am to write so 6.45's not an early start to my day, just an early start to work !)
Just because if you haven't seen any of Gethin on SCD you're missing out on something - his waltz from this year (with a little bit of interviews and such about his training with an acting coach beforehand on it). If you like this, I'll direct you to his Salsa. mmmm.
I am currently experiencing lots of lols that my mother not only convinced me to watch Robin Hood that one time but that then watched a second. So I'm probably going to watch more now.
I feel sorry for Guy, though.
As for Martha, I'm not saying anything else on that score. But she will always have my love.
Hee!! Another reluctant Hood watcher, huh? I watched part of the first series and enjoyed it almost in spite of myself ... I think the best way to watch it is by realising that it's total and utter crack. Also series 2 is an improvement on the first one (imo, anyway) - Guy becomes less 2D-evil and much more interesting as a character. I love me the tormented morally grey people that could so easily move from one light to another. Guy's just crying out to be redeemed - and holy frickin' Jesus the sexual tension between him and Marian is absolutely freaking scorching.
Though Richard Armitage most likely has chemistry with armchairs and kitchen sinks, I suppose. The man is pure sex and I'm on a high with it. *happysigh*
As for Martha, I'm not saying anything else on that score. But she will always have my love.
Ditto. I'm in a comfy place with my fandom now where I can laugh at batshit and still enjoy Martha for the awesome that she is. A little distance from posting in the thick of things there has probably helped me.
I keep feeling sorry for Guy because I don't want him reverting back to broken-hearted evil guy but you already know it's foregone conclusion. I like his stuff with Marion.
I think not posting is good too. (All the more so after a brief relapse.)
1. Bah! It's Christmas; it's wind down time. Well it is for me as my boss won't be in for the rest of the week. Huzzah! 2. Eeek! 3. Finally done all my shopping on Sunday. Wrapping pressies is for Christmas eve with a bottle of wine. 4. That sucks. 5. OMG I FELL IN LOVE WITH GETHIN TOO. Matt is an arse and I can't wait to see Alesha totally kick his arse. 6. I'm finding Robin Hood surprisingly good at the moment. How bizarre. 7. I wish he would stop harshing my squee :(
Awww. I love a good glomping. :D Merry Christmas to you, too!
1. Bah, humbug. Our office has no tinsel up and it's the busiest time of the year for us. Poo. 3. I like your thinking. Sadly I have to send off some in the mail and I'm hoping I've not missed the last date ... 5. OMG YOU FELL FOR GETHIN TOO?! WHY WAS I NOT POSTING ABOUT HIM ON HERE FOR THE LAST FEW WEEKS, I WOULD HAVE HAD SOMEBODY TO SQUEE WITH! *headdesk* In total agreement on the Matt being an arse and the Alesha arse-kickage of Matt I wish to ensue. 6. Crack is goooooood. Especially when it involves Guy of Gisborne being too cute for words in scenes with Marian. My ovaries! 7. RTD is off my radar. Though the picture of the Astrid/Ten clinch in the London free papers being handed out today is interesting me.
Joseph was fabulous, despite the cold, though, as was the meal - and extra large SQUEEE reserved for the Pharoah throwing his scarf at me! :D I kept expecting somebody to approach me and ask for it back. I am now dorkily sitting here typing with a

EEEEEEEE JULES!! Merry Christmas, you lovely person you!! Gosh, it's been AGES. Thanks so much for your card, by the way - and hugs to Michael, Dakota and you. <3 I miss you too.
Off to bed right now but we'll have to catch up when I have a little holiday time. Love you!
I have vacation this week. Let's plan to talk. Let me know when you're available. I'll try to sign on to im a lot and then you can message me if you try to jump on. Unless you can think of a better way.

Sucks about the work (know how that goes - I worked 12 hours yesterday and then started again at 6.45 this morning !)
I'm clueless about Strictly (no TV !)
Bad luck about the cold - good about seeing the show if it's something you enjoy.
I suck at Xmas too - presents are purchased but I've sent no cards and given only one to a friend...
TOTALLY with you on the Marfa snugglage...
Hope you're feeling better soon !
