I went to New York last month and found it a dazzling and wonderful place. I expect it'd be an interesting place to live and work. Do you want to go?

Yes I think I do. I worry that I'll be leaving all my friends and really the only person I'm friends with here is my ex. But as the nice French girl I shared a taxi with in the rain last night said it's an amazingly shallow place. You pick up friends so easily. Deep friendship is rarer.

this is all totally nerve-wracking. Sounds like you should be as clear with them as possible about what you want from your job and your employment situation as a whole. Good luck!

How exciting. People (companies) are arses sometimes though. Don't let them fvck you about, i'm sure you won't anyway. And if it's too much then antigua does sound nice..

Oh no! I'm sorry they're being so arsey with you. Make yourself look as useful and confident as possible and wait for them to fall at your feet. Pub when you get back?

You're probably on your way back to Blighty now and perhaps things have sorted themselves out one way or another.

I think it comes down to whether or not you want to have the v interesting experience of living in NY, rather than how good a deal they're going to offer you. But then my point of view is stupid as I'm in a job that pays peanuts and owes me about 4 weeks of peanuts in arrears.

So whatever you think is probably far more right.

It is not the money. I don't desperately need any more money (Don't tell work that). What I do need is an interesting job and to feel like my career is moving forward.

Sorry about your peanut shortage. Hope things improve soon.
