now that I'm back on the livejournal boat, I find myself missing my friends from home immensely. I've been thinking about how people here are different from people there, and how the friends I have here are just not like the ones I have at home. I don't know why that is but I've been feeling it more and more strongly. people here are rarely like ( Read more... )

It's strange that you should mention it. I literally had the exact same thought regarding people here versus people at home...although I get the sense that the people I hang out with here are different, yet there do exist "people-from-home" people that I just haven't become close with. But you know...not really. I don't know. Anyway, I think I understand what you're saying to some extent despite the fact that I'm almost sure that the people here are also really different from the people at Swarthmore.

And the moon was pretty sweet tonight...unfortunately I was only able to enjoy it by myself and the CS building.

Hey, I agree with the people not being the same. I don't understand why that is. No offense, but it's not like the people back home were special. Well, they were special to us, but to the rest of the world they were like anyone else. Well, you guys get over it by making new and different friends; I just chose not to make friends. Literally. Hahaha. The only person I talk to all day is Jonathan and he doesn't get my jokes.
