in which I talk about sleeping. a lot.

this is being up at 3 am, for the fifth night in a row. and some of those nights went so much later than 3 that they became early, watching the fresh daylight form on my ceiling. it's okay because none of it was for academic reasons. not even this one, even though from midnight to now I was baking cookies (for seminar! so it's academic!) and ( Read more... )

Hi Emily,

I've been staying up late the past few days, more because my body's forcing me to than for any other reason. But anyway, it's nice to read your entry in the wee hours, when I start to feel like I am the only surviving person on the planet. Also, I'm glad you've more or less returned to this journal.

Sleep sweetly,
Angela

that's exactly how I feel when I see other people's posts or receive emails dated (well, timed) the same time that I was awake. it's like seeing the light on across the street- you get to know what someone is doing for that instant.

no sleep...tell me about it...yeah, you'd be proud. I actually went to bed early last night: 1:30 or so. I think I was getting sick cause I had a 99.2 degree fever (I've probably averaged 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night for the last month excluding weekends...ugh, it is gross...and unfortunately it was more for academic reasons...although maybe because I wasn't doing academic things earlier).

I really felt the semester zoomed...probably because I've been living on a day to day basis, and suddenly there's all this talk about final this and last that.

By the way, what are you doing for Thanksgiving???

I guess, kind of sort of maybe. it's sort of impossible for me to tell.

it was 3:30 am. one can only see the time from very limited places in my room, I don't know why. pretty late indeed. but like I said, worth it.
