4:30 am is a funny time. it's not quite late and it's not quite early. the time between 4 and 5 am seems to be the grey area between night and morning; even though literally, of course, it doesn't start getting grey (and then washed out blue and then pale pink) until a bit later. more to the point, it's a funny time to have one's airport shuttle

Oh my god Emily you are going to Santa Fe and I won't be there. Don't let the chili get you too sick, it's not the California beans and meat variety, this stuff is lethal, I'm too gringo for it. I'm trying to think of places to reccomend for you to see, but nothing's coming to mind except Tinker Town, which technically isn't in Santa Fe. It's on a backroad known as the "turqoise trail" halfway to Albuquerquie, which is a beautiful long drive . . .I'd give you an actual highway name, but I don't drive so I don't know any of that stuff. If curisoty and time get the better of you, it should be in any off-the-beaten path touristy guide.

Oh and I told you I know how to use a phone card, but I obviously haven't been practicing, so I'm a little rusty. Life is good, we need to catch up come winter break, assuming you'll be here in LA because I WILL!
