Chapter 2: Matchmaker

Siwon could only stare back at his wife-to-be in horror, before he realised the underlying meaning of her words. He shook his head violently. "No, yeobo, you are not trying to pair up my sister with Kyuhyun. Never." He released Yoona from his hold. "But... why? Oppa, I think they will be perfect together! And you have to spare a thought for your best friend - he has been single since... the day he was born?! Don't you want him to find his happiness, and get rid of his belief in 'True Love doesn't exist?' " She said everything in one breath, as if she had anticipated his reaction and had prepared for an answer.
Her words caught him off guard, before he cleared her throat andreplied, "Yes, I do. But though Kyuhyun may be my best friend, Soo is my sister, Yoona. You know how much I love her and care for her, right? We all know Kyuhyun's past with those girls, and I am never ever going to let my sister get hurt again by another man, especiallyafter that bas- " "I know, Sooyoung hasn't had much luck with her love life, but I just have this feeling that this will work. Trust me, oppa. I know what I'm doing. Anyway, if my dear brother hurts her, I won't let him off for hurting my best friend either. Just leave this to me, oppa. Trust me." She looked at Siwon with an air of seriousness he never knew she possessed.
Siwon sighed, and finally nodded. Squeals filled the air as Yoona flung her arms around him and shouted, "YIPPEEEE!!!"

Yoona trudged up two flights of stairs before heading towards the first door on her left. The room was completely silent, but the girl in the centre of the room was still dancing effortlessly, her long hair swishing with every twirl as she clutched onto a pink iPod. Yoona sat quietly on the floor in front of the mirrors, just as the girl came toa stop and unplugged her earphones.
"Hey Yoong. I haven't seen you at the dance studio since you got engaged to my brother. How's the marriage preparation going?" Sooyoung grinned her best friend before collapsing into a heap beside her. "Its great! The wedding has been fully planned, and in three months I'll become Mrs Choi and your sister-in-law!!' Her best friend replied enthusiastically. Sooyoung beamed at her excitement before reaching for her water bottle on the floor.
"Oh yes!" Yoona continued, "We're going to have a dance performance on the wedding night, and YOU are going to be the main lead and solo performer. No buts! You already know how wonderful you are at dancing, you are sure to impress the crowd."
"That's fine with me if it makes you happy, dear." Sooyoung nodded as she brought the bottle of water to her lips. Yoona grinned and continued on, "Oh, and I have one more request, for you to teach my elderbrother Kyuhyun dancing for the wedding night."
Instead of the awkward silence she had anticipated, the room was filled with violent coughing as Sooyoung choked on her water.
"What" *cough* "You" *cough* "want me to" *cough* "teach your brother how to dance? I thought he hates dancing!" Sooyoung sputtered, staring at her aghast.
Yoona said impatiently, " Well yes, he hates dancing. But dancing has always been in my family's blood, and if he doesn't learn to dance and dance on the wedding night, people are going to start talking! The good thing is, he has agreed to learn. And I'm willing to pay you any price - I know you need the money to enter that dance academy in the US! Please... help me? I wanted to teach him to, but I already have to teach your brother. Besides, you're the better teacher, you'll be able to turn him into a dance master within three months!"
Silence.
Sooyoung replied, " I'd love to help you, Yoong. But... I can't" she said the last part in a whisper as Yoona suddenlyrealised what she meant.
"CHOI SOOYOUNG! You're still together with HIM? After he hurt you? I told you to stop seeing him anymore! What would your brother say!" Yoona's voice echoed off the walls of the dance studio.
"Alright, alright, I'll help you! If you promise not to tell anyone about him, especially my brother. Siwon would kill me if he knew! And he already apologised to me, I've forgiven him. It was a mistake last round, I know that he loves me very much. True love doesn't always come round the corner, you know? I have to cherish him." Sooyoung begged. Yoona could only shake her head as she agreed to keep it a secret.
After exchanging more words and hugs, Yoona left the studio with full of thoughts. "Junho, I'm not going to let you destroy Sooyoung's happiness or her future with my brother." She scowled at the thought as she went home.
------------- 2 Days Later -------------------
Kyuhyun walked at snail's pace as he trudged up the same flight of steps his sister had took two days ago, feeling a sense of dread with every step. He wasn't sure of how he was going to cope learning dance for three torturous months, when dance was his least favourite activity. What made things worst was the fact that he had to learn from a female teacher for three months, let alone a complete stranger. (Yoona had only told him that she was onlyan aquaintace of hers)
Kyuhyun finally arrived outside the practice room door. With a shaking hand, he turned the doorknob...

A/N: Here's chapter two! :D Haha the two lovebirds haven't met yet! I'm so sorry that this chapter is so draggy, but I'm sure that you're suspicious about Kyuhyun's and Sooyoung's past histories. What made Siwon react so violently? Will these bad moments of the past affect their friendship, and ultimately relationship? Stay tuned to find out more!
