*It's a wonderful warm day in May and Ruka is sat outside, under a tree, on either the Academy Island or in the park in Domino City. She looks to be hard at work though, as she mulls over some books she has with her, occasionally jotting down notes in a notebook. *Ruka looks up*

Oh, Wakahisa-sensei. I'm er... *She looks down at the books* ... I'm mostly just researching something, that's all.

And what would that something be? ::Flips through your books to see if there's anything in particular you're history-ing about.::

Well... I remember you telling me to compare the history of this time and the history of my own, to see if it had any differences before we arrived here...
...it's a little hard though, because all I can rely on for my own time's history is what I learned through the online lessons my brother I took back where we came from.

Though so far, I don't think I've really found any differences.

*Sure enough, the notebook is full of notes about various historical events and what Ruka, herself, remembers about them from her own time. There is also a few notes about various theories on time travel, including paradoxes and the like. The books she has with her all have bits of paper sticking out from the pages, that she's using to mark important pages. It's actually quite a lot of work.*

[In the Domino park, someone is going to sneak up behind her, and then in a truly impressive feat considering the position of the tree, end up draping all over Ruka.]

Arrrgh...!!

*Ruka flails a bit by the sudden intrusion, but eventually stops, looking quite flustered*

R-Rei!
I'm er... just working on a personal project, that's all.

[Rei settles into a comfortable position, which happens to be mostly on top of Ruka. what am personal space?]

Time travel and history... This isn't some sort of plan to go back and kill Hitler or something, is it?

*Oh gosh, so awkward ;o;*

Ah, no! I'm just researching something.

*Ruka shuts her notebook, obviously not wanting Rei to look at the notes inside it*

An adult woman is glancing over your shoulder, Ruka.

"This looks awfully complex for a little girl."

*Ruka looks up at the sudden voice*

I'm 15.
And... I guess it does look complex, but it's something I want to understand.

Her eyes sort of bug out when she finds out you're fifteen, Ruka, but she tries to hide it.

"You want to understand time travel?"

Yes. And how time travel could affect history.

*There seems to be a young man with silverish hair, admiring some flowers that have been planted around the grassy parts of the park-- including by the tree.

... He keeps looking over at Ruka, having somewhat noticed that your books deal with time, at the least. It's fairly obvious that he's doing so, too. He doesn't really know what subtlety is.*

*Ruka, noticing the man's presence nearby, occasionally looks up from her books and notices him looking over at her. She feels a little uneasy, but after a while, she finally decides to speak to him*
