[Early on Thursday morning there’s a crash that finds a certain bushy haired young woman in the wood near house twenty-six. Although slightly dirtier than normal, nothing seems to be out of place with her, thankfully. Disorientated at the abrupt return as well as the first mallynapping she remembers, well, it takes Hermione several minutes to ( Read more... )

[Oh, this can be taken, but as Hermione was trying to focus on the book she moves with a start. Snapping the book closed she shook her head.]

[Still trying to cover this up.]

Nothing. Just being silly is all.

[That earns a raised brow as she slips it back in its place. Oh, Lucy.]

Of course not. I just found it was a topic I wasn't particularly interested in at the moment.

Hiccup? Yes, of course... Well, I suppose you could say it's better than it was a bit ago.

[Oh Hiccup, why so awkward.

I'm sure, really. That's a bit morbid of a way to think about it, don't you think? Perishing, I should say.

Hermione! Oh, good. I'm glad you've returned.

[And then relief gives way to confusion.]

...stupid? What's stupid?

[Hermione actually hasn't heard from Terra since arriving again (unless her Mun is failing which is likely) so there's confusion on her part as well.]

[She dashes past it for the moment at the second comment. Too much pride.]

Oh, I had just-- I had messed up on something is all. [Smooth. Not really.] Sorry, I'm not sure who this is.

This is Terra.

[She doesn't sound hurt, concentrating more on her concern for Hermione than the awkwardness of rebuilding a friendship that only she remembers.]

Are you sure? I know they return people with...odd side-effects, sometimes.

[Hermione frowns on her end. It's another person she's supposed to know, of course, but she can't and... Really, with matters it just makes her more frustrated.

But she certainly tries to put that aside for now and has has to hold back a snort at the odd side-effects.]

Yes, I've heard the same since being brought back here, but I'm positive. I don't feel any different, at least. [Too much pride. It'll bite her eventually.]

You're back!

Ami, it's wonderful to hear from you.

I'm fine, really, just a bit... shaken up, mostly. [Which isn't a lie really.]

Good. Maybe whatever it was, wasn't too drastic.

More than likely. I'm positive others have had it far worse.

Hermione? What happened?

[Did she get kidnapped? That sure seems to be happening a lot...]

[It's been a while since she heard Ven's voice, but she frowns and tries to keep her frustration to herself (perhaps a little unsuccessfully).]

It's fine, mostly. The Malnosso seemed to have thought it a brilliant idea to take me recently as well as a few of the others in our house.

Man, they've been kidnapping a bunch of people lately.

[Huff. Man, why can't they give people a break?]

Did they do anything to you? I know that happens sometimes...

There isn't a pattern to the kidnappings either to clue us as into when they're most likely. Although, I haven't been able to look into that as much as I'd like.

[No, never. Always experimented on. She pauses and bites her tongue. Well...]

You mean an effect left over? No. Nothing. [Sharp.]
