My multiverse is entirely free of the paranormal. Since coming here, I have not only had it explained to me that other multiverses are vastly different in that regard, but I have received testable proof of the matter. At present, I am working on a thesis on paranormal physics.
... My own multiverse's data are not here, though. [Robert sighs almost sadly to himself.] I suppose that is due in part because there are no books on Terra...
... It would be nice if I could access the Terran databases, but no such luck.
It seems difficult to believe that nothing paranormal happens where you're from. I believe we've all received proof on the matter that things are different in these places-- considering.
[A frown.] I'd think that would give you good enough reason to study the other material here. There's various books I'm sure you'd find at least a little interesting.
Well, as far as I can tell, there has never been any evidence for it, and more importantly, my physics here have actually disallowed it on occasion. During an experiment I performed with a friend of mine who is a magician, I found that, despite making a near-perfect replica of his summoning circles in the exact same manner he did, they were completely useless when I drew them. Considering that I could finish the circles when he made them, it seems some kind of proof that my world seems to actively disallow magic. Additionally, according to those who can see chi, a kind of paranormal "life force" apparently, I entirely lack it.
... Obviously more studies must be done before I can form a true theory, but it seems fascinating and potentially promising.
[Part of it is Robert not wanting to think that there are paranormal aspects to his multiverse. The idea, quite frankly, disturbs him a bit.]I have mostly gotten over my... apprehension of the books here. I will admit, there is something f-fascinating about the process... database
