In fact, I'm positive that anyone who would be reading this would have at least heard of it from some source or another - whether that source is Stephen H. Alternate realities, the whole concept of them has always fascinated me. What if I made a different choice? Maybe it's more the concept of choice that's the real core of it. What if there is no choice but just different realities?

That's the most pressing concept, in my mind. Imagine a universe which is made up of several billion different futures (one for each possible event at any given moment {A moment defined as 1*10&-43 seconds}), and every one of those futures becomes it's own alternate reality. If that is the case, than there's are an indefinite copy of each of us, all with the same originating points (and to some degree, the same past).

To take this back to my example above (the wall changing colour), I've heard many things about people 'disappearing' from our world. As if to be taken out of existence altogether. For example, on an old Fox show called Fact or Fiction there was one case where a woman disappeared from her hotel room in Paris. She was never seen again, the hotel attendants claim that they (she and her daughter) never even booked a room. It's almost as if the mother had never come to France in the first place.

It'd be cool if there were alternate universes. All it would take is one of our crazy overworked scientists to make a kind of void and it'll be all over from there.

Opening the gate to hell...yeah, that'd be bad.

Now a gate to an alternate anime version of our world, that'd be cool to see.
