I am all for the shiny wonder woman replacing the barbie. I can't even find enough hateful words to begin to describe how much I detest those damn barbie videos. They are all the same, just with different clothes and make up on. Emily brings them home from her dads and I die a little inside every time we watch a new one. But, I find some joy in slipping in my doses of reality when she asks questions about the mean step mom.

"Oh she is grouchy because she knows that Prince Charming is really unintelligent and that the princess could do MUCH better if she washed off that make up, took off those silly clothes, and got to know herself a little more."

i gotta plead ignorance on the barbie videos. i actually never bought arri one and i know she probably has most of them at her mom's place (they do the video club thing). i was just on edge from those old cinderella, disney types that i let my guard down !
i just can't believe some of the things they say in those films...

it's also funny to me because i know adult women that still use the words "prince charming" when they complain about their love lives. :?

Prince Charming is a myth women are taught to buy into from this awesome thing called society. He doesn't exist. Neither does the perfect woman. Everyone should make a note of it.

And that poster? I am kind of in love with it. It's probably good I don't have a credit card, but man, if I did. It would be mine.

Can I just say that a DAD that pays attention to this shit is really...awesome. Just made of awesome. Why can't you rub on on my kid's dad?
