Ok, so I figure the gods are Ascended Ancients, either another subgroup or maybe all the Saiyuki stuff is what made the main group decide interfering with humans is no the way to go. (I also have another possibility that Nii figured out Ascension and he was the original Ori.)

John = Goku
Teyla = Hakkai
Ronon = Gojyo
Rodney = Sanzo

The last 3 I did based more on the characterizations from the Gaiden series. But Sanzo/Konzen have always been intelligent drama queens, so that's right there with Rodney. And Teyla feels close to Hakkai/Tenpou's calmness and precision, while Ronon and Gojyo/Kenren are like the goofy big brother (which I think is what Ronon was like before being a Runner).

Now I just need a plot...

YES! And it is fantastic! Especially because they're keeping it all hush hush, so no one knows that the black-haired manly man Ranma is the same as the cute red-haired curvy girl. Who is also named Ranma... There's one character who adores girl Ranma and hates boy Ranma.

There's also canonical man-->panda, girl-->cat, boy-->piglet, and I sort of fell out of the series because it just kept going, but there was one guy who got turned into some bull demon with wings thing.

10-to-some-degree-I-can't-remember springs! Anything could happen! (Though I do kind of want to see Ronon as a panda...)

Pern yes omg!!! I really hate the Eragon trailers because they start with, "The dragonriders have returned..." and my first response, no matter how many times I've seen the stupid commercial, is always, always, "Pern?!"

Alas, it's not. But how cool would that be? Can you imagine the vis effects for the Thread?!

Nah, it's all good. I'm glad we've met as well--there's never any bad in finding people who get excited about the same things. Just as long as you don't start actually stalking me...
