Sorry to hear about the job. I certainly understand the nervousness involved. I'm not sure what else I could do to help, but I'd certainly be willing to give you some feedback on your resume.
And, yeah, over the years I've discovered that HR people can be a real pain in the ass like that.
As for Merlin, didn't you mention something about wanting to get all of Season 1? (The torrents, they are slow but steady...)
