In the Dragonball series when Goku is faced with some kind of challenge he trains until he can evolve into something that can beat his opponent. Over hundreds of episodes he "transforms" from an uncombed gym rat into slightly different versions of a glowing Aryan monkey but he only knows one move through like 75% of the series.
