So I’m using that Windows Live Writer thing for the first time, just out of sheer morbid curiosity.  I never write in LiveJournal anymore, mostly because I don’t really have time, nor do I really care to update the world on my business.  The people who care to know what I’m doing mostly already know.

Let’s see how this snippet turns out.

Saturday was a celebration of Karneval here. While I was fixing lunch in the kitchen Saturday morning, the German party van drove by, thumping base and all. The house shook, I swear. The German party van itself was decorated to look like a castle, if that makes any sense. It was almost like a float, but...a van. I wish I could explain it.

Last night, Probst and I went to Gastoff Peters, which is a little restaurant probably twenty minutes or so from her house. On the way there, she assured me that it was delicious. She and Jon go there for every special occasion.

So begins the blogging of my time in Europe. It does not begin well.

First, let me just say that my original Wednesday flight was canceled due to inclement weather in the UK, and they rebooked me for Thursday same time. At least I found out the night before and wasn't trapped in the airport...
