I have recently attended the Roskilde Festival, the largest festival in Northern Europe and the second largest festival in the world.

Oh snap!

I had no idea that Floyd was playing there (or at least Waters). Their live stuff is crazy amazing. I saw them during Live Aid, and it was great, except for the station I was watching (and damn if I can remember who it was exactly, cut them off in the middle of a song). It was great to see everyone back together.

I've seen some DVDs of Waters live, and despite him definately showing his age, he still does one of the best performances I have ever seen. Except when he picks the lame people to do the voice part in Comfortably Numb. Whats worse, is that they read it from a paper and still manage to screw it up.

I think the only other bands I would've wanted to see are Tool, and the Deftones. Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab for Cutie are, in my opinion, way overrated, and I never saw what people liked in their music. But to each their own, I suppose.

Yeah, Waters sang probably about 50% or so of his actual lyrics that he would sing in a "real" Pink Floyd concert from the 70's. The backing band (and vocals) were very solid though (the guy who sang in place of Waters sounded very much like him) so it was still a great show.

Franz Ferdinand was so horrendous I cannot even begin to describe it really, hence the grade of "F". I truly think they are the biggest garbage band of our generation.
