I thought of a much better way to articulate it too:
You're making an R rated movie, which is geared for adults. but in the R rated movie, you're having an adolescent child perform acts that add weight to the movie being R rated in the first place. Could this child see the movie alone? No, the theater is not allowed to let him in. So why is he allowed to act these things out? It doesn't make any sense to me.
I started masturbating about as soon as I could get an erection. I think it is sinful, but it is also obviously a natural act, just like sin itself. So yes, most adolescent boys are aware of it and probably do it. That doesn't make it appropriate subject matter for them to act out, in any setting.
