Has anyone else noticed that toys for very small children and cat toys are much alike? They are both generally brightly coloured, make noise, and are chewable. And are really unpleasant to step on at 2am.

Small children and cats would be much easier to deal with if they could talk.

Then again, they could talk *back*.

Makes it interesting when bringing the toddler over to a friend's house who has pets. Usually, I just decide that everything that ways under thirty pounds will probably lick each other anyway, and what data there is suggests that adult human mouths are nastier than anything on a dog or cat. If I ban the kid from playing with the animal toys, I can't justify kissing him, and there's no way I'll stop doing that. *shrug*

We have a small Elmo chair (http://www.amazon.com/Spinmaster-Elmo-Giggle-Shake-Chair/dp/B000HBC7BW) that Teddy picked out at Target months ago. If it is accidentally kicked late at night, it is creepy.

Heheh. Don't wish it away too fast. Wait until they learn the word, "no". ;)

Too true, Shadow! You can hardly wait for them to start walking and talking then for the next few years you catch yourself telling them to sit down and be quiet hee-hee ...
