Stupid Salford Council

Been looking up getting the knackered fridge freezer and the chairs that pete put in the yard for some reason and have found out that Salford Council charge you £19.25 to get rid of big stuff with fridges and freezers being extra because of the special disposal requirements, I may be being a bit naive but isn't our council tax supposed to pay for
