For those interesting in playing Rogue Trader/Dark Heresy under the GM-ship of me!
Alright, it looks like there are enough interested parties. Here are some of the pertinent details to consider:
I run games in a cinematic style, particular inspirations have been thanks to the 7th Sea system and my love of war films and film noir.
So far, interested parties are:
Main Cast:
Scott
Steve - Medical specialist
Dom - Melee specialist of some fashion
Peter - Who has expressed interest in playing AdMech dropout or xenologist type
Genevieve - Who wants to play a knife&bomb-throwing demo expert and escape artist
Guest Stars
Cassie (Depending on Transit/Availability)
Rae (Depending on Transit/Availability)
Theme: I want the theme of the game to be determined by the players interest, so I put it to you folks, what would you like to explore? Here are some examples of themes:
• The Heist - A group of criminals/anti-heroes pulling off heists and gambits
• The Explorers - Away team members called upon for exploring some of the Imperium and beyond's greatest secrets
• The Seigebreakers - A team of military freelancers called in when the Imperium can't bring the marines to bear, but the guard just don't cut it.
The sky's the limit, folks, so please, if you have ideas for themes, feel free to post and discuss them!
Gaming space: I am open to other locations, but my house has a marvelous large dining room table that can kit out for gaming easily. Also, it's where all my mini's and terrain are (but lord knows I have transported stuff plenty in my past). I think everyone here has, at one point or another, stopped by my house just west of Philly. If there are alternate locations desired, feel free to post suggestions.
Opening sessions/character writing sessions:
Once the game is decided on, thematically, and folks have a basic plan on their characters, I like to run mini "intro" sessions for folks, with only a few players, not the full party, so that each person gets one on one time with the GM during character creation and so everyone gets a "how they met" story.
Timing: What days would work best for folks? How would coordination best be done? A mini-group on LJ? FB? E-mail list? Feel free to contact me via whatever e-mail you have for me and we can put together some kind of proper list...
