Im not naive. i know that this kind of thing goes on even today. I still couldnt help but be offended by the very existance of this company and the brazen pride that they have in the despicable work they do.

Why should it offend you that consultants exist to help companies avoid unions? Unions are, if effect doing the exact opposite. Were I an employer I would be quite interested in keeping my expenses down to maximize productivity and profit so I can grow my business (with the wonderful side effect of employing even more people). Unions served a purpose about 100 years ago...but they are mostly a horrible drain on competitiveness in the corporate world (where globalization makes it easier to simply move the jobs out of the country if labor costs get too high).
