It’s impossible to hate Enoch Thompson for long; stronger women have tried and crueler ones too and they each fail. And as soon as you’re certain you have him read, figured out- he shows you another face and you’re lost in him again- be it his ploys or secrets. Trapped. He’s a prism and black mirror all at once.
