1. Where and when did you start RPing?
Ahaha. Well. at _levicorpus. When I was 15. As one would. Dammit, there was just something about HBP which made me want to RP... :D
2. Do you RP anywhere other than LJ?
Nope, never have, either. Not for any huge reason bar that I like lj. I once RPed on GJ and Insanejournal, but... it'sreallyjustthesameplace.
3. Do you play in any public games?
lastvoyages right now. And it's kind of fantastic and I have TOO MANY CHARACTERS and oh, I'm dropping Bernard today, which makes me sad. :( How was that for a run on sentence without punctuation?
4. Do you prefer first-person comment spam or prose logging?
God, even when I spam, I write prose. I just can't avoid it, dammit. So, yeah, logging, if ye please. Apart from weird, silly moments, logging.
5. What was the first character you ever played?
Delame, of course! Bwahahaa. My crazy OC emo Frenchman. You know you loved him. You know everyone loved him. :D
6. Who's your favorite character to play now and why?
Oooh. I'm currently on a big Dr John Hix (evilbystatute kick, but he's new and shiny and things. Over all, I'm loving doing O'Brien from 1984 (equalsfive) because, uh, he's hard work sometimes?
7. What's the longest you've ever consistently played one character?
Delame. Yup. Delame, given that I've had him since I was 15 and only recently haven't played him. Canon characters? Kingsley Shacklebolt. Pretty much the same with him, actually.
8. What's your biggest RP pet peeve?
People presuming how my characters'll react to something and then being really surprised when my guy doesn't find that funny or doesn't want to know or really resents your guy for doing that... etc etc. Especially if I'd already mentioned that 'so and so won't like that, y'know' before hand. Especially if you want to tell me how my dude's going to take something.
9. Do you read RP secrets and the RP anon meme?
Not any more. I used to, but blah, it got a bit samey.
10. If you've played in public before, do you prefer community based or journal based games?
Oooh, choices. I, generally, like journal based. But I also feel it's a little easier to drift out of character in them.
11. Would you rather play with someone who's very very IC but a mediocre writer or someone who isn't always IC (but not terrible) and a great writer?
Depends on the character, I'd say. Because if it's a character with a massive canon avaliable, and especially if it's one I know, I'd get a bit twitchy if they weren't that IC. BUT, having said that, smaller canons/characters will always need a bit of interpretation on canon and, generally, quality of writing kicks more arse than ICness. Because, in the end, it's about having fun with characters and a little drift is no big deal.
12. Do you have a "RP partner"?
Well. I have a (not) Puritan wife for my (sorta) puritan husband. gelise
13. Do you ever stalk any casts, games, or players? Who?
Not stalking as such, but I occasionally like to pop between games and see what characters there are and have the odd flick through. I used to jump between HP games and spot Kingsleys when I played him. There's also certain characters I'll always bug on dear_mun if and when they come up. Anyone playing Sam Vimes gets me interested and not_even_dreams (Sam Lowry from Brazil) is good fun to bug on dear_mun too. I found myself looking through his stuff for a bit.
14. In your opinion, which part of an app is the most difficult/annoying?
Uh, this depends on the character. O'Brien's history was a pain because 1984 and history just don't work. Quite often, it's the history, especially for minor characters, because you do have to fudge bits or be really horribly vague, or make stuff up. And I'm a stickler for detail sometimes.
BUT. I have to say, sample RPs are horrible. Especially the first time you're applying somewhere, because you've got nobody to write off. You're writing a blank scene, which lends itself to either 'uh, I need another character now' or tl;dr purple prose.
15. Are you one of those people who has to customize their character's journal layout and userinfo?
Not particularly. I'll do a quick scan of the avaliable layouts and pick one that fits. I think Hix's is incredibly appropriate, and some of the others are just... well, they do okay and don't burn my eyeballs out to look at. I normally do a nice info patch on my userinfo, just so people aren't left too in the dark when Sexby starts talking about the Civil War or Howie starts moralising... you know. Nothing fancy graphics wise, though. I do like Sexby's little 'Case of the Armie Truly Stated' graphic, though.
Having said that, I like looking at the fancy shiny userinfos. I can just never be bothered to set one up myself.

17. Are there any canons you avoid tagging characters from?
Nope, not really. I mean, there's a lot I skip past on dear_mun, but everyone does that. If they applied in a game I was in, I wouldn't avoid at all. :D
In fact, there's not many characters I'd outright avoid. There's some I'm not sure how my guys could ever interact with, but if it came up, I'd give it my best. :D
18. Most memorable scene in any thread?
Oh, this is fun. Really, now.
Most recently: Otto and Bernard's graduation thread. Watch for Bernard's reaction to the moustache.

19. Do you RP sex?
Used to, but... frankly, it got boring very fast. So, uh, even if I was in a game where it was fair game, I don't think I would any more.
20. Do you play more males or females?
Men. I don't play a single woman right now, and out of all the characters I've played, there's been... I want to say two women. One of whom dressed as a man. I don't have anything against playing women, I just seem to be better at playing men, or their characters jump at me more, sometimes. There's still women I'd like to play. Jennifer Government would be hilarious. Fran'd be fun to play, too, in the right context. Kitty was a lot of fun.
I do, though, tend to lean towards playing men.
21. What won't you RP?
To be honest, there's not much I won't do. Depending. I'll consider it on a case by case basis - because there's some things that Bernard is just too silly and pathetic to actually rp him with. I'm flexible, but it does depend on the exact situation, context and who I'm doing it with, too.
22. Dressing rooms: yes or no?
Never played in one, but it's a fun concept, so have at.
23. Ever RPed a pairing?
Yup. Not much in multi-fandom, but there's Sexby and Angelica. That's really the first time I've multifandomed a pairing.
24. Favorite place to play: musebox, open posts, public games, private games?
Public games and I just can't stay away from dear_mun which... not quite sure where that fits.
25. Talking RP with someone else who plays your character: fun or awkward?
Don't know exactly. I play a lot of obscure characters, so it's not exactly easy to run into people that do. I imagine it'd be awkward.
