I can see what you mean by needing to improve on the anatomy... If you don't mind I'll say that the face's features are a bit too large, no woman would EVER be that skinny (I hope that's not what you were going for ><), and I'm sorta wondering what's going on with her arms/hand in the first picture >< Though that's sort of your style, I've found, but if you wanna go for more "realistic" original drawings (as in not observational), I would say focus on that stuff.
But other than that I really like it. I think the shading is really cool and dramatic, which is something I struggle to achieve. Did you do these in pen or pencil?
(Also, Idk why but I'm being really weird and like, observational/constructive criticism-y with art lately and you're the only person I know who posts their work so I apologize if it's annoying/bugging you. haha. But I'm gonna be posting some of my art a lot more in the coming weeks so I'd appreciate your feedback :D)
Thank you. I'm experimenting in anatomy and I'll eventually get it right. I'm terrible with hands, and I was attempting a shadow. I will keep practicing for better proportions and stuff.
I used pencil because this is the first time I've been doing this, but I'm going to move to pen real soon. I hate pencil so much because it smudges too much.
And that's okay with criticism. I appreciate it. At least someone looks at my art. I like pointless compliments but I like it when people suggest stuff to me. My roommate did that too, so that was cool. And yes, I'll give you feedback on your art as well.
Yeah it's really hard to get stuff right... I can barely draw faces so I'll probably be the same boat as you in a little while (SEE LATEST JOURNAL ENTRY, lol).
See that's why I like pencil... it goes away easier. You could try using a harder lead... HB smudges a bit but is good for shading, and 2H is your standard pencil... maybe go somewhere in between that. I've had to work a little bit with pencil and learned quite a bit about the different leads this semester, haha.
And good, I didn't want to be like randomly giving out unsolicited advice/comments but I feel like from one artist to another it's only natural haha. Yay, SEE LATEST JOURNAL ENTRY for my most recent pieceeee.
