Voltron, Defender of the Universe? Or spawn of Satan?

I just realized I've never posted anything about Voltron. I started this journal with the idea of quoting, in order, from all the chapter's of Voltaire's Candide and relating them to my own life and situation, but that quickly became tedious and somehow morphed into ridiculously long quotes from Orwell's 1984 and then on to whateverthefuck.

I love that not only are Satanism and Paganism secretly taught through shows about big fecking robots, but "the Mystic Religions of the East" as well. The Dalai Lama is sitting there all like "So the kids really like these shows about big robots beating the shit out of eachother. Gather around, Lama Brigade, I have a plan...." and then there;s evil laughter and jesus and the Jesus squad have their adventure for this episode.

You would think the Jesus Squad would appreciate the simplistic Good vs. Evil dichotomy of these shows. The most retarded aspect of this video is they use clips of the *villains* from both as examples of how the show's are evil... Well, duh!

Also, it's awesome at the end when we hear that the Jesus Squad is "coming to you from the Eagle's Nest"!

Mmm...the 80's, Voltron, Satanic Panic and the impressionable children who learned that, when it comes to anthropomorphic robots, 'deactivating them permanently' has violent, occult overtones. ;)
