I had characterized something, a toy car that climbs walls and can drive around on the underside of a table, as "defying gravity". It was then I realized that nothing can actually defy gravity. It's gravity, for Pete's sake! All Hail Gravitas! The Almighty, ineffable Force. It binds It, the All, together as One. How can you defy a thing like that? ( Read more... )

Interesting, many physicists will tell you that gravity is actually quite weak. Whacked fucking scientists, no better than a bottle-shaker.
