My Two Cents - Fall Mondays

In previous years, I let the TV Blogging go on much too long and people stopped paying any attention. This year, I'll try to do it in a couple big chunks. Here's how to start the week off right:

Accidentally on Purpose - It didn't make me want to cut out my own eyes, so it's already better than Two and a Half Men. I found the boy-toy and his ( Read more... )

Ugh. Did Big Bang Theory drastically improve over its pilot or do you smoke, like, a shit ton of drugs before you watch it?

Frankly, I think that personal taste is a larger factor in comedy than any other genre. I know there's a lot of people who can't stand BBT, but I think it's hillarious. In particular, the actor who plays Sheldon has brilliant comic timing. If I had to rank last year's sitcoms, BBT would be tied for 3rd with The Office, behind How I Met Your Mother and 30 Rock. Admittedly, this is because The Office has slumped somewhat.

Well speaking of individual taste I haven't seen you review Warehouse 13 or Glee. Both of those I would recommend. Warehouse 13 is kind of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets X-Files thing with a Dead Like Me feel to it. Glee is just pure sugary goodness. They are getting alittle ambitious with the plot line for season one, but they do it through song. It balances out.

Anyhow, if you are completely full up on your television consumption schedule for this year you might want to check that. Also, Parks and Recreation if that ever got picked up from the summer line up.

Glee was one I was waiting to get around to, but I appreciate the nudge toward getting it done.

Warehouse 13 premiered way back at the beginning of the summer and had its finale a couple weeks back, so it wouldn't fall under the Fall Roundup. It was quite good, though.

Parks and Rec actually ran during the regular season last year, not the summer. It did get picked up for a sophmore season, and frankly I think it's a lot funnier this year.
