V doesn't start until November, and I haven't watched The Good Wife or The Forgotten yet, so I've got nothing to review. Best-guess: B+, B, C- respectively. I'll let you, my loyal and imaginary audience, know if my mind gets changed ( Read more... )

though I don't know when it starts, and I am too lazy to look it up. America's Next food Network star is an interesting food reality show. I still like Top Chef best but this one is fun

Yeesh. I've got too much on my plate to start looking at off-brand competition reality shows.

Yeah, NBC is remaking the 1984 TV series. I apologize if I spoiled the fact that they're lizardy, but the fact that they're aliens is the central premise, so nothing is ruined.

True, but at 25 years, I think it's also fair to assume that many people are unfamiliar with the source material. More people are going to draw a connection with Earth: Final Conflict, and the two shows have a bit of a tangled history.

I suppose it's one of those things we'll just chalk up to my bad taste. But The Biggest Loser is an interesting human interest reality show/two hour long commercial for Ziplock, Jennie-o turkey, and some gum that I refuse to buy.

I don't know. It's just fun to watch fat people melt. I suppose it would be different if I didn't weigh the same as some of the contestants towards the end of the show.

Anyway, basically, you're wrong. :P

Well, I used the 3 categories to avoid boring everyone with reviews of shows that have been on for ages. Biggest Loser would actually fit into "You could make me, but I'm not bothering anymore on my own."

I watched 2 seasons of it. The first one, I enjoyed quite a bit. The second felt like perpetual deja vu. There's a lot to like there, but I don't feel like there's enough variance within an episode, between episodes or between seasons. It doesn't have the engaging challenges of The Amazing Race, and it doesn't tickle the "Sick, Sad World" "horrible people being horrible to each other" bone that Survivor does. I might have kept it up out of inertia if it had been only an hour long, but at 2 hours, it's just too bloated. It fell below the yellow line and was eliminated.
