Under sushi you should add Vi Bacchus, which is only two blocks from the Mercury and also has an excellent sake list and small plates menu (they are really an izakaya, which IMO is cooler than a sushi joint).

And somewhere you should include Cafe Presse, which is 3 blocks from the Merc in the other direction, and serves light food and espresso until 1:30 am.
