I've noticed a change in people around me, ever since they started working. Going home after work, and being so much tired gradually integrates into their lifestyle, and that could really be so routinal that they forgotten that they actually do have a social life ( Read more... )

i had turned into a hermit as i age, and as my years of working increases.

nowadays, i tried to go home on time, if not early, everyday, so i can have some spare time to either get a quick dinner + quick walk/stroll with klkl or go home straight for dinner and nua in front of the tv for a bit before heading to bed at 9.30pm or latest 10pm, and still feeling tired the next day. *gawdd*

i leave my social life to selected tuesdays (with girlfriends mostly), thursdays (with klkl - our midweek date, of sorts), fridays (for cellgroup), and the weekends for klkl and family.

heh!
that's great to hear that at least u still leave selected days during the week to hangout with klkl, friends, and family.

But why do some people just ignore the life of their social life during the weekdays, and then start to catch up during the weekends? Is the weekends the only time to catch up properly? Or is it just convenience?

i cant do it everyday lah, the flesh is weak whilst the heart and mind is willing. i think its the age.

hmmm i think its more sensible for some people to dedicate their weekends for their social life so that they wouldnt have to rush after work to do meetups especially if their office is like at the ends of the island, and then rush to end the gathering early as there is still work the next day, ala cinderella and her pumpkin carriage.

for most people, saturday will be THE day for catchups with pals and social life and they can truly let their hair down and without worrying about work the next day (different issue for church-goers though. ;p)

errrmm.. im guilty of throwing my social life out of the window.. with the long hours that i sometimes put in, hardly can make any decent appointment without being late.

my social life is just impromptu dinner dates with available gfs, or jogging in the park. every other day, i head home and crash.

=(

Social life? What's dat? D:

Hiaks.

I work until late everyday, and continue working when I reach home... Once I find a moment to stop, I will take a breather and rest at home, because rest is becoming such a luxury. :/

Weekends spend with bf, because weekdays no time to talk to him, haha. :X

that bad? what are you working as now? with ur dad?

I guess rest is important than social life, but it could also reflect that the pace is so fast, that we all couldnt catch up.

SO!! Hahaha.

I guess because i am still fresh from working that i will never forget to have my social life after work.

Even though i am tired, i will still meet my friends after work. Cause to me, work isn't everything in your life and i am certainely not a workaholic. Family and Friends play the biggest role in my life so yup, going out with them is forever the most important thing.

I guess it all lies to how you plan ur time. I have a tendency of planning things ahead like may be 1 to 2 weeks in advance which allows me to know how i should handle my time.

I don't like have a very routine life which is like equals to boring. So yup.

And most importantly, i am very willingly to meet you after my work!!!!!! Heehee!! :)
