The City Hall and administrative complex of the town I live in is a collection of impressive neo-Federalist buildings that our town is no longer worthy of. Writing is, as they say, an act of memory. I suspect these digital pages won’t last forever, but I enjoy keeping them (and reading others) while I can.

I didn't know the Southwest Museum had closed. I went there many years ago on a blind date and remember it being interesting. It looks like their collections ended up at the Autry Museum.

I think the museum was having financial problems, and then a curator or other staff member got caught selling artifacts and embezzling. I think it was all before I came to California.
