At work tonight, there is a ridiculous amount of sweets, chocolates and other things made entirely out of sugar and fat distributed liberally across the nurses station, from, I'm told, our current batch of students. The government insist on continuing to train nurses despite the fact that there haven't been enough jobs for them for the last couple of years, plus now the budget means even less jobs going. All employers want experienced staff.

And here they're crying out for most health professionals. They've even given unis the option of giving nursing degrees for free.

There are a lot of newly qualified staff here doing job shares just to get a years experience to qualify for overseas work, and then gouging out to you, and all over. The whole situation is pretty nuts.

If that was me, I'd say: "Take my job and the crap it comes with, and bring on the chocolates!"
