Man. That was one of the best basketball games I've seen in a long time. Finally, NC State beats UNC...first time since 2003. As I passed by Char-Grill on my way home tonight, there were at least 5 police cars there with their blue lights flashing, and two more pulled up as I was going past. I don't know what happened, but it couldn't have been good.

Hopefully it does not endanger the burger supply....

Just a note that the Canes game tonight--a 5-4 overtime win over the NHL-leading Thrashers--was awesome. Or maybe not even seen. Found this in the news this morning: Gas Leak Closes Raleigh street, delays school. Interesting because it's only a couple of blocks from where we used to live on Dixie. And because "roaring waterfall" is not a sound description I find comforting when applies to a gas leak.

Went to the gym tonight for the first time in over three weeks. It served as kind of a rude awakening of how far I've fallen from this time last year. Over the course of the past year, I've gained 25 pounds, if the scales at the gym are to be believed. That's pretty fucking sad.
