At least for a few months considering I've been dragged kicking and screaming into committing to the madness that is naNoWriMo.
*whimper*
Any suggestions or tips (other than back slowly away from the keyboard) will be greatly appreciated.

I'm honestly not taking it seriously (this year).
I've read the site and stolen No plot? No Problem! from Mel Redcap.
The original working title was:
"The World's Worst Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Anthropomorphic, Lovecraftian Detective Novel Ever"
and through many evolutions has grown to:
"The World's Worst Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Anthropomorphic, Lovecraftian Detective Novel Ever Written On Glorified Electronic Toilet Paper, With Brief Sojourns Into Historical Romance In The Wild Wild West!! Or The Dice Really Are Singing To My Brain And Wooing Me Into Writing A Fifty Thousand Words Plus Novel For The National Novel Writing Month, Starring Big Eyed Caped Avengers From Japan Fighting Radioactive Thousand Year Old Mummies!!!"
I still have to add Shakespeare, Slash & Ancient Gods/Relion in.
Now I have to figure George A Romero in...
I've worked out that if I throw all the themes into a bag and pull one out each day - I'm going to have a good cackle!

Besides, I might be going for the modern art type approach. You know, the blank canvas with the prestigous name...

Well, I'd say you might want to choose a world you allready know and go for fanfic. Darkover, HArry Potter, whatever strikes your fancy. And if it doesn't happen.... well... nothing lost, eh?
