Denny and I watched season 3 "Smith and Jones" and every time I see it, I just love Martha more and more. It really was a shame that RTD wrote it that way. I've noticed when watching Runaway Bride, Ten treated her nicer even after he lost rose. You'd think it would be Donna he treated bad because she was the first person he met after Rose. Yeah, I always thought that Ten's mourning period for Rose should have not extended past 'The Runaway Bride' as that was not fair to Martha as a character. She was really awesome and you could tell he really cared for her, but was holding back. It's sad that the show never let them live up to their potential. :(

It was definitely unfair to Martha. I wish RTD didn't do that. I have a feeling Moffat would have written it differently. It doesn't make sense. You can't have Ten be nice to Donna to the point he had no problem asking her to come with him. Then when he meets Martha, he says, do you fancy a trip? And he shouts to Martha about Rose, You're not replacing her! She then asks about the kiss and he says harshly, that was just a genetic transfer! And you see the sadness on her face. First of all, he winked at her when she checked his hearts, he kissed her and he's also very charismatic. If someone had done that to me, I would fall in love too! So it's not her fault she was in love with him. The way he treated her and since she came after Rose, that's why you have so many Martha haters and it's a shame because she was an awesome character! But at least we can change that in fanfic ( ... )

I've always thought that if Eleven met Martha, he would treat her much better. :(

I agree! One time I was thinking of writing an 11th/Martha fic. What would happen if she did meet Eleven. She wouldn't know him but somehow he would remember her. I've read a short 11th/Martha fic on a Martha site and it was very good. Only thing is, would the fans accept it? I mean, that was the only fic I saw. Hmmm...I'm thinking should I write one? Just to experiment with it. What do you think? And where did you get your icon I like it :)

I actually came in on season 3 of Doctor Who and the first fiction I read was a Ten/Martha.
Martha is awesome! If anything he came to her and offer her a trip. I mean if you had a chance to explore in time and space who wouldn't take that chance?
It really was sad that RTD didn't let them live up to their potential. Just image The Doctor and Doctor Martha Jones saving the universe.
But when she had came back and Donna had noticed her ring the look on The Doctor's face.

Martha is awesome! That's the same thing that happened to me. I read a lot of Ten/Martha fic and I actually bought the Ten/Martha books. True, he came to her and offered her a trip (I would definitely go) but it really was a shame. I don't know what RTD was thinking. He should have written it differently, that there was no romance and they were just friends, like Donna's relationship with the Doctor especially after he lost Rose. I think fans wouldn't hate her so much if she didn't have a crush on him. Yeah, I remember the look on the Doctor's face. Oh, I thought he wasn't interested in her, lol. Maybe he was and the thought of losing Rose held him back from noticing Martha.

Now I've written an Eleven/Martha fic, just to see how it would have been if she met Eleven and how their relationship would be. At first I thought I was alone with that idea but I've seen stories here and there about them. Did you add me as a friend because I added you :)

There's not a lot of. Eleven/Martha out there there. Which is a shame since I think Eleven would at least admit he was wrong. Although if RTD had played his cards right Ten wouldn't have been alone when he regenerated Martha could have been there.
Although if I cant have my Ten/Martha in canon I'll take it in fics. And despite Jack's relationship with Ianto I think they would make an okay pair. I just really cant see her with Mickey.

Thanks for adding me :) I know, it's not many out there, which is sad because I believe they hate Martha so much that they couldn't even see her with Eleven. They didn't want her with Ten!I did read an Eleven/OC fic on fanfiction.net. This author had a lot of fans. She had 636 reviews! But I think Whovians would rather read an Eleven/OC then one with Martha. An OC is a character you create. Martha is a canon character and one that's not appreciated. I think out all the companions from classic Who until now, she's the only one the fans hate, which is crazy!

I'm writing a Ten/Martha fic that I'll post on ff.net. It's called "Family" and I'm waiting for my beta to finish so I can post chapter one. oh no, I can't see Martha with Mickey either. I thought that was stupid. :)
